Delano Guardians

Formed in 2013, the Guardians are a volunteer-run organization that has served communities in Delano and elsewhere in northern Kern County. Its mission is to organize and empower communities to make change by advocating for their needs.

The Delano Guardians group has trained and organized volunteers to do voter registration, canvassing, voter education, absentee ballot applications, get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts, and protection from voter suppression. With Central Valley Matters (CVM) funding, the Delano Guardians will be able to greatly expand their outreach, leveraging their already successful tactics for the 2022 elections.

The Delano Guardians are fiscally sponsored by Center for Race, Poverty, and the Environment, a 501c3, so you’ll see that name on our donation form. All funds go directly to Delano Guardians.
